4 Movies to watch before school starts

If you’re like me, then you enjoyed the great blockbusters that came out this summer and are excited for more summer movie releases.

Fortunately, there are a lot of great movies coming out before school starts, and I have chosen four that I think you’ll like.

Ant Man:

With release date of July 17, you won’t have to wait long to see the newest cinematic adventure from Marvel Studios. “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd in the role of Scott Lang, an ex-convict given a chance to save himself and the world.

Leaning more on the comedy side of an action comedy, this movie should appeal to hard-core and casual comic fans alike. It will have some violence and humor, so be prepared for that, but it should be a fun time for the whole family.

“Ant Man” is rated PG-13.

Paper Towns:

If you liked “The Fault in our Stars” and adore coming-of-age movies, then you’ll want to catch “Paper Towns.” This movie will hit theaters July 24 and would be perfect for a girls night or a date night.

Based on the book by John Green, this movies follows one boy’s quest to find his next-door neighbor and eternal crush after she disappears. Will he be able to find his mystery girl and even himself on this journey? You’ll have to watch to find out.

This movie is rated PG-13, so if you have young kids it would be wise to leave them at home.

Vacation:

Although a bit unrighteous, “Vacation” is guaranteed to bring you laughs.

A spin off of the 1983 classic “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” this gem will hit theaters nationwide July 29.

Definitely not for the faint of heart, this R-rated comedy is star-packed, with Ed Helms playing the role of Rusty. We see Helms and his family try to recreate the famous vacation from the original, and run into plenty of problems before they make it to Walley World.

This film is rated R.

Straight Outta Compton:

Whether you’re a fan of early Rap and Hip-Hop or not, “Straight Outta Compton” is a must see. Following the rise of the famous group N.W.A., this movie is sure to entertain and inform.

“Straight Outta Compton” is guaranteed to have great music and performances, and might be the breakout hit of the summer when it comes to music movies. You can catch it August 14 when it is released nationwide.

A fair warning about this movie: It is rated-R, so for those who are sensitive or have children, you may want to skip it.

I hope these movies will help you end the summer on a high note before the hard work of school starts. All these movies can be found at local theaters or nationwide. Let me know in the comments or on Facebook what you think of these movies or if there were any that I forgot to include.
