Aggie Family Football Fun Day

Football season is almost upon us. The Aggies are less than two weeks away from their season opener against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds, right here at the newly rebranded Maverik Stadium. As the season nears and our anticipation builds, it gets harder and harder to wait for the opening kickoff in September.

You guys can do what you want to pass the time, but I know what I’m going to do. I’m going to Aggie Football Family Fun Day this Saturday, August 22nd at 5:00 PM. Games and activities will be happening on the south concourse, and the football team’s scrimmage will start at 6:00.

It’s going to be a great time. We can all watch football, and everyone will have a chance to get autographs and play catch with players on the turf of Merlin Olsen Field.

The scrimmage itself will be a good opportunity to see if the Aggie offense has figured out a way to get around their outstanding defensive counterparts yet. The defense has been a force to be reckoned with the last few years, and if this summer has been any indication, that won’t be changing anytime soon.

I’m going with my wife, because that’s what Aggie Family Football Fun Day is all about. Come hang out with us. The more the merrier when watching football. The stadium holds over 22,000 people, so bring your friends. Go knock on your neighbors’ doors and tell them to get there. Most of all, go Aggies!
