The 6-foot-5, 225-pound defensive end led Logan High School to an 11-2 record and the Utah Class 3AA state title this past season. Murray had previously been committed to the University of Nevada – Reno — also a member of the Mountain West — before receiving an offer from USU.
Murray was a beast on the defensive line during his senior season, recording 65 solo tackles and 108 total tackles. He also recorded 14 sacks — including two in the state title game — and three forced fumbles.
The commitment will become official on National Signing Day next Wednesday.
