Non-student arrested on suspicion of on-campus rape
A 22-year-old man was arrested off campus Tuesday morning by Utah State University police on suspicion of rape. The arrest came after a months-long investigation of an incident that occurred in September, university spokesman Tim Vitale said.
The suspect, Tyler Call, is not a USU student, nor was he at the time of the alleged incident, Vitale said. The incident occurred on campus, but was not connected to either of the Code Blue sexual assault alerts sent out to students in September and October.
Call’s bond is set for $20,000.00
Neither the university nor police were able to give further details due to the ongoing investigation, and no charges have been formally filed. The Utah Statesman will update readers as more information becomes available.
