Things to remember to make sending thank you notes easier
Remembering to send out thank-you notes to your guests after the big day can feel almost as tedious as planning the wedding. However, it doesn’t need to be a chore. Here are five tips for impressing your guests with prompt and courteous thank-you notes.
1) Choose the cutest thank-you notes
Your thank-you notes should match the aesthetic of your wedding decor. They should be apparent right from the first sight who they are from.
2) Place someone in charge of recording who gives you gifts and what they are
Rather than trying to recall who was at the wedding and what they gave you, have someone write all of that information down while you are still on the dance floor.
3) Be sure to keep your guests addresses
When you send out your engagement announcements and wedding invites, you will have a collection of names and addresses at your disposal. Create labels in a word document so that after the wedding you can return to this list for your thank-you notes.
4) Don’t delay
If you are able to start writing your thank-you notes in advance and can finish them before your honeymoon, you will impress every guest buy how prompt you are. At the latest, be sure to send out your thank-you notes by the time you return from your vacation.
5) Make them personal
By the time you are writing your 25th thank-you note you will notice that you begin repeating the same phrase over and over again. Instead, be sure to shake up your message and make each note special.
