Former USU guard Tauriawn Knight finds (another) potential new home
Three months to the day after informing Utah State of his intention to transfer from the men’s basketball team, Tauriawn Knight appears to have found a home. Again.
On Wednesday afternoon, Knight sent a tweet saying he was “blessed to receive an offer from Oral Roberts University!!” This came two months after an April 4 report from JucoRecruiting.com saying that Knight had signed with JC program Odessa College. No official statement was made on the side of Odessa, but the program’s Twitter account, along with Knight, retweeted posts about the reported signing.

Knight came to Utah State as a two-star recruit out of Edmond Santa Fe High School in Oklahoma. He played in 24 of the Aggies’ 35 games in 2018-19, averaging 8.8 minutes per appearance while scoring 3.5 points to go with 1.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Knight did not appear in any of the last five regular season contests for USU and played just three minutes (all against Fresno State) in all of the postseason contests combined.
Knight is one of four guards to transfer since the hiring of head coach Craig Smith, including Crew Ainge and John Knight III.
The tweet from Knight does not indicate if he plans to accept the offer and/or will decline to play for Odessa this upcoming season. No official statements or releases have come from Odessa or Oral Roberts on the matter.
