Midway through the semester, USU is still averaging around 50 cases each week
The Utah State University community has added 730 new COVID cases to it’s total count since Jan. 1.
Around 210 cases were added to the overall total in the last four weeks; this means USU is currently averaging about 52.5 cases per week.
As of March 16, there are 76 active cases in the USU community. 15 of those cases were just added today, with one on-campus student, 12 off-campus students, and two staff members.
Numbers from off-campus students also includes those who do not live Cache Valley or within the Bear River District. Some students may be living out-of-state at the time of infection.
Currently, of the 76 active cases in the USU community, those numbers include 11 on-campus students, 53 off-campus students, one faculty member and 11 staff members.
The majority of the active cases, which totals 66, are from the Logan Main campus. USU Eastern has six cases, USU Blanding has one case and there are three more cases from statewide campuses.
