Tuesday, April 3-POW – MIA Vigil, Noon. Silent March begins at County Courthouse downtown, followed by poetry reading, veteran tribute and other activities. Raise money for WWI Memorial in Washington D.C.-“Is Harry Potter Evil?” Censorship in Children’s Libraries, panel discussion noon to 2 p.m., ECC Auditorium.

Wednesday, April 4-National Library Week Booksale, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Merrill Library basement-Pres. •Wilderness First Responder, May 8 through 17. Upon successful completion of practical and written exams you will receive a two year SOLO Wilderness First Responder certification and a two year American Heart Association Adult Heartsaver CPR certification. •Infancy Childhood, and Adolescence Conference The 2001 Infancy, Childhood and Adolescence Conference May 14 USU ECC. Five nationally recognized scholars will be on-hand to discuss topics from development of temperament and emotion in infancy to the effects of domestic violence on children who witness domestic assaults. Everyone is invited to attend one or all sessions. Those interested can call USU Conference Services at 797-0043.

•Cache Valley Folk Dancers 4th annual ContraDance Weekend, April 6 and 7. Guest Caller Warren Argo from Seattle along with guest musicians Greg and Jere Canote (as heard on NPR) will host the two day event. Dancing both Friday and Saturday evenings will be from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Whittier Community Center, 290 N. 400 East in Logan. Two dance workshops will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.. Beginners, singles and couples are welcome and all dances are taught. Suggested donation: $6/event, $15 all events.
