•Pi Sigma Alpha – The national Political Science honors society is now accepting applications. All that is required is a 3.2 GPA average in at least 12 credits of Political Science courses. Applications can be picked up at the Political Science department.
•Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing and the USDA are starting a self-help housing program in Cache Valley. This program allows qualified families to use sweat equity to build a significant portion of their home, decreasing the coast of the home by up to 25 percent with no down payment required. •The Mountain West Center for Regional Studies is accepting applications for their Faculty Fellowship. This fellowship is designed to support and recognize an individual faculty member or faculty team in the Humanities, Arts, or Social Sciences for the completion of a pedagogic, scholarly or creative project that will expand our understanding or appreciation of the American Mountain West. •2001/2002 Graduate Reentry Scholarship applications are available from the Women’s Center TSC 310. Criteria: gap of five or more years between undergraduate and graduate school. •Wilderness First Responder, May 8 through 17. Upon successful completion of practical and written exams you will receive a two year SOLO Wilderness First Responder certification and a two year American Heart Association Adult Heartsaver CPR certification. •The Cache Valley Folk Dancers hosting a New England Style Contra Dance, March 3, 7:30 p.m. at the Whittier Community Center, 290 N. 400 East. The public is invited, beginners are welcome. All the dances are taught. Live music will be provided by the Loose Shoes dance band of Salt Lake City. $4 donation is requested at the door.
