Activities at Logan Gardner’s Market
CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY
On Saturday, July 7, the Cache Valley Gardeners’ Market will host Customer Appreciation Day to honor our loyal patrons. Customers will enjoy freebies, samples, and discounts at many of the Market booths. It’s the Market’s way of expressing gratitude to Cache Valley for making the Market such a wonderful and successful weekly community event.
The Market is continuously expanding, with more than 90 vendors selling food, jewelry, art, photography and hand-made clothing. Fresh-picked, local summer fruits and vegetables are plentiful right now. Come early for the best pick of baby potatoes, cherries, beets, peas, baby carrots, and salad greens. New, unique products appear at the Market each week, such as homemade mint fudge, honey root beer, herb-flavored cheese curds, cherry limeade, mango salsa, and berry ice cream made on site. You never know what you’ll find, so stop by and enjoy the local flavor while listening to guitarist Brandon Saunders singing your favorite songs.
As part of the Art Attack series of free workshops for children, the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art is sponsoring “It’s a Wrap.” This hands-on activity features 3-D art using pallet wrap and tape. With the guidance of the Art Museum volunteers, children of all ages can construct anatomical sculptures that look like ice.
The Gardeners’ Market is held Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pioneer Park, located at 200 East and 100 South in downtown Logan. The Market is easily accessed from Center Street and 100 East stops from LTD routes 3 & 10. For more information about the Cache Valley Gardeners’ Market, please check our web site at www.gardenersmarket.org or stop in at the Market information booth, located in the southeast corner of Pioneer Park.
