Aggie Car Show will award student scholarships

The annual Aggie car show will be Saturday, July 17, at Liberty Park, 751 21st Street, in Ogden. The show is held to generate scholarship funds for Weber County students who want to attend Utah State University.

Three full-year tuition scholarships, valued at more than $10,000, have been awarded for the fall of 2004. Scholarship recipients are Britt Shepherd, Chelsey Lindley and Kate Sessions, all of Ogden.

Businesses offering auto accessories, parts or services are invited to submit vendor applications for the car show. Space is also available for food vendors. Average vendor cost is $125, based on size of area and type of service.

Local car enthusiasts are also invited to show their cars or trucks to help raise scholarship money. Vehicle entrance fee is $15 per vehicle/$20 the day of the show, which also includes rodeo tickets, Aggie ice cream and T-shirts and dash plaques.

The Aggie car show is Ogden City’s Pioneer Day Celebration kick-off event. Supporters include Utah State Alumni, Utah State Athletics, WSU Athletics, Ogden City, Weber County, Elks and Does Organization, Quality Quick Print, Coke, Pepsi and others.
