Coming off of a strong showing at a tournament in Tempe, Ariz., last weekend, the Utah State University women’s rugby team hopes to keep the ball rolling in their game Saturday against the Salt Lake club rugby team.

The game will be played in Salt Lake City at a field yet to be determined, depending on field conditions.

Last weekend, the Aggies went 2-1, winning games against Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University.

The only game the team lost was against New Mexico State University, “but they had a few girls playing for them that play on the select side, and a national team,” captain Lauren Drietzler said.

“Overall we played very well,” Drietzler said. “We lost some of our confidence a little in the second game against NMSU, but we were able to get it back and defeat ASU. If we continue playing how we are, the outcome will be good.”
