By TYLER HUSKINSON

Sophmore guard Devyn Christensen finished with 19 points to lead the Utah State Aggies in a furious comeback over the New Mexico State Aggies, 72-67 in day two of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament. USU found itself down by eight at halftime, but came roaring back on offense and took advantage of stellar free-throw shooting to seal the victory.

Junior Ashlee Brown finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore center Banna Diop added 15 points and eight boards.

USU (17-13) shot only 17 percent from the floor during the first half, but shot 60 percent from the floor during the second half.

USU relied heavily on the free-throw stripe as it shot 28-32 on the night and 20-22 in the second half, including clutch freebies to seal the victory.

The Aggies will advance to face the Fresno State Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. inside the Orleans Arena.
