Annual Baby Animal Days event held at American West Heritage Center

On April 5-6, the American West Heritage Center will host Baby Animal Days, an annual event in Logan since 1995.

“We have all the farm animals, baby bears from Bear World, plus specialty animals that we bring in every year,” wrote a representative of the non-profit foundation. “People of all ages love baby animals, even college-age students. The best is that students can volunteer and actually be involved with the animals if they want to.”

Ashley Hopkins, a USU advocate for AWHC, said, “USU students would love this event because it’s an affordable activity to do with friends and get outside!”

According to the AWHC website, this year’s animals include lambs, piglets, calves, chicks, and ducklings, as well as a few new animals. Besides adorable animals, the event includes AWHC’s regular activities, including a candy cannon, horse rides, a woodwright shop, and “vendors from all over the valley to provide food, face painting, and other fun stuff.”

As an extension to Baby Animal Days, Farm Animal Days will be held every Friday and Saturday in April. These days will feature just the farm animals and some of the activities and tickets are slightly discounted.

Tickets to Baby Animal Days are $9 for adults, $8 with a student ID, and $7 for children. Tickets are available online or at the door any day of the event. Baby Animal Days runs 10 a.m–5 p.m, with the baby bear line closing at 4:30 p.m.
