ARNOLD FRIBERG TO APPEARS IN LOGAN

Arnold Friberg, renowned storyteller and artisan, travels to Logan next week for a rare and unforgettable appearance at the Ellen Eccles Theatre. In conjunction with Utah Festival Opera’s Classic Film Series, Friberg will share his life’s experience and treat patrons to an extraordinary opportunity to view his original paintings commissioned by Cecil B. DeMille for his monumental motion picture The Ten Commandments.

As Chief Artist and Designer for The Ten Commandments, Arnold Friberg‚s sketches and paintings became the pictorial basis for the movie’s scenes bringing to life a variety of human characters for the motion picture. In addition, he designed the authentic historic costumes for the leading stars, which earned him an Academy Award Nomination. DeMille stated, “Among the living artists who have dedicated their talents largely to religious art, one stands out for his virility and warmth, dramatic understanding and truth. Arnold Friberg’s work has been an inspiration to all of us.” The Paint Utah Art School and Gallery is sponsoring an artist lecture, hosted by Mr. Friberg, on July 14 at 2:00pm. Event tickets for reserved seating range from $8.50 – $13.50. Please contact 435-752-0026 to obtain tickets.
