Ashley McWilliams Named Utah State Assistant Athletic Media Relations Director

Ashley McWilliams has joined the Utah State Athletics Department as an assistant media relations director and officially started at USU on June 18.

McWilliams comes to Utah State after spending one year at Harvard University where she worked with men’s tennis and assisted with men’s and women’s basketball, football, and men’s and women’s ice hockey.

During the summer of 2006, McWilliams volunteered with the inaugural Special Olympic Games in the state of Iowa and was in charge of statistical services for golf.

McWilliams is a native of Manchester, Iowa, and graduated from Iowa State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. During her time at ISU, she spent two years in the athletic media relations office working with women’s tennis and assisting with football, volleyball, and men’s and women’s basketball.

At Utah State, McWilliams will oversee publicity efforts for the women’s soccer, women’s basketball and softball programs. She will also serve as one of the chief statisticians for the department along with maintaining the athletics website.
