ASUSU makes plans to honor interim provost

Members of ASUSU’s Executive Council plan to show their appreciation to Noelle Cockett for her work as interim provost and dean of the College of Agriculture at Utah State University this semester.

The council approved a resolution of appreciation and commendation Tuesday night during its regular meeting.

“We thought it would be nice to show our appreciation,” said Cody Bingham, agriculture senator.

Cockett took over the interim provost position after Stan Albrecht became USU’s 15th president Feb. 1. She will be replaced by Ray Coward from Penn State University beginning spring semester.

“This has been a difficult semester and her leadership has been awesome,” said Tiffany Evans, director of Student Involvement and Leadership.

The resolution will be compiled into a formal letter that each member of the council will sign.
