Brian Gibbons had four goals in his first game in an Aggie uniform, helping USU to a 12-2 win over Brigham Young University Friday.
The forward also had one assist in just one period of play, as the Aggies beat the Cougars again a day later, 17-3.
The sophomore transfer from Utica College was unable to play last year for the Pioneers due to injury. During the 2009-10 season he was the third leading scorer for Utica, with 14 goals.
USU hockey head coach John Eccles said Gibbons is a very unselfish player.
“Brian will be a great goal scorer and a great set up man,” Eccles said.
