Award-winning comedian brings unique comedy style to USU
Because laughter is the best medicine for the cold winter blues, Student Activities Board is presenting stand up comedian Buzz Sutherland tonight at 7 p.m. in the Sunburst Lounge in the TSC.
Activities Director Breanne Davis encouraged students to come and have a good time at the show.
“It’s a good stress reliever after the first week of school,” Davis, a senior in English education, said.
According to his Web site, Sutherland has been named Comedian of the Year by Campus Activities Magazine.
Davis said Sutherland deserves such honors.
“He’s funny,” Davis said. “We found him at the National Association of Campus Activities, and he had an audience of over a thousand college students just rolling with laughter.”
Davis said Sutherland aims his jokes at college students.
“He appeals to college students,” she said. “He uses a lot of music, like hip-hop and top 40.”
Davis also reassured students that Sutherland’s humor is “very clean.”
