Are you interested in Medical School? The United States Military Medical School Representative, Dr. Calloway, Associate Dean for Recruitment will be holding a presentation on Wednesday, October 8th in University Inn Room 507 at 9:00 am.  Following the hour long presentation, Dr. Calloway will be holding Q&A from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for students who are interested. Full Medical school scholarships are available.

The new School of Teacher Education and Leadership hosts a monthly film series, presenting films we find particularly interesting.  Our next film is Friday, Oct 10th at 6 p.m. in the  Education Building Auditorium, Room 131.   The film is, Flock of Dodos:  The Evolution-Intelligent Design Circus. Students and community members are invited to attend. There is no charge.  

Odyssey Dance Theatre is looking for dancers for Thriller to be performed at Utah State University’s Kent Concert Hall, October 17, 18 and 20, 2008. Auditions held Theatre Stage, Kent Concert Hall, Utah State University Monday, October 13, 2008 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Ages 14 and up  Thriller (Youth Cast) Dancers should have at least a double pirouette and strong jazz technique and must be available for all rehearsals and performances.  Contact Annie Van Alstyne, avanalstyne@odysseydance.com.

The USU Women’s Center is holding its annual Clothesline Project on October 13th and October 14th in the TSC International Lounge, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The Clothesline Project is a visual display of t-shirts designed by women who have been abused. Shirt designing may be arranged by contacting the Women’s Center at (435) 797-1728. Clinical Psychologists program we offer residencies at three locations:  San Antonio, Texas;
Washington, D.C.; and Dayton, Ohio. All residency programs are accredited by the American
Psychological Association. Our program provides a one-year residency with a variety of clinical rotations. It includes elective rotations in specialty fields, professional seminars and workshops. After the residency, the Air Force program includes three years of active-duty service

Run for you life.  Striding for a Healthy Lifestyle 5K Fun Run will be held on Saturday October 11th, 2008 on the USU Campus.  This race will benefit the Hurricane Victims through the Red Cross.  All profits will be donated to this organization.  Race day sign-in/registration will begin at 9 a.m. on the Quad with the race beginning at 10 a.m.  The cost for pre-registration is $10 or $8 with a student ID, and $15 the day of the race.
