Help the USU Student Health and Wellness Center recognize October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and support those suffering from breast cancer by wearing pink on Oct. 5 and 6. Information booths will be available on the Taggart Student Center (TSC) Patio from 9-3 p.m. Attendees can enter a drawing for various prizes including movie tickets and key chains.The Utah Assistive Technology Program will present a Free online interactive training on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 3- 4:30 p.m. Nathan Smith, director of technology for the College of Education and Human Services at Utah State University, will present. Every Wednesday, Figure Drawing/Painting from USU Art Guild- 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. We will be holding weekly figure study sessions for students and community members that would like to practice work with the human figure. The cost of each session is $5.00 or $40.00 for the whole semester (to pay the model).
Stokes Nature Center invites all ages to Nature Night: Fabulous Fall Colors, a free program held from 4 to 7 p.m. on October 5th. Participants will learn about the science behind autumn’s spectacular leaf display, have the opportunity to participate in fun fall crafts, and explore the nature center exhibits and critter corner. Halloween Traditions and Treats for Little Ghouls. The USU Extension Office will present a class on Halloween Traditions and Treats on Oct 6th at 11 a.m. in the Cache County Administration Building Multipurpose Room at 179 N Main. We’ll share ideas for neighborhood gifts, family traditions, costumes and more. You’ll also be able to sample Dinner in a Pumpkin, Witch’s Fingers, Eyes of Newt and other yummy Halloween treats. S’more summer institute bonfire Did you get enough summer this year? Come get s’more – The Logan LDS Institute is having a bonfire activity at Earley Park in Tremonton, Utah, Friday, Oct. 7. Come learn more about what the institute has to offer or register for an institute class while enjoying hot dogs and s’mores on an open fire, volleyball, outdoor ping pong, karaoke, glow in the dark Frisbee and night games, music around a few campfires, and the last taste of summer weather. The activity goes from 7 to 11 p.m.

A clinic specializing in the treatment of anxiety and anxiety-related concerns is now accepting new clients from the community. This service is offered through the USU Department of Psychology (EDUC 413). Fees for services are based on a modest sliding schedule and determined by the monthly take-home pay of clients and the number of persons in the family.
