Barn Preservation activity

Notice for Barn Workshop 7/15/06

Larry and Sue McCormick are hosting a workshop at their barn at 530 South 100 East in Richmond. The workshop will be led by Jonas Landes, historic preservationist; Don Hartley, architect for Division of State History, and Keith McKay, historic stone mason. Participants will be given hands-on experience in learning a magic mortar recipe created from local and original materials, repairing historic stone masonry, and also on how to stabilize and re-tin a roof. The workshop will be held July 15 from 9-4 and is sponsored by BRAG, Bear River Heritage Area, State Division of History, Utah Conservation Corps, and National Trust for Historic Preservation.
