Basketball player collapses during practice

Utah State basketball’s Danny Berger reportedly stopped breathing and collapsed during practice Tuesday.

According to multiple Twitter users, the junior was resuscitated on the spot and later flown to a hospital in Salt Lake County, but Utah State University Athletic Media Relations could not immediately comment.

“He’s a pretty important person on the team,” said front-row fan Jake Christofferson. “He’s definitely an important role on the team, He’s a starter, he played last year.”

Berger’s condition is not known and no questions have been answered regarding whether or not the game against BYU will still continue after Berger’s injury.

“I just hope for the best for him and his family,” Christofferson said.

Update: Twitter users report Berger’s condition to be stable.
