The 1923 silent movie “Safety Last” stars Harold Lloyd as a small town boy who, in order to impress his fiancée at home, finds himself in the big city seeking his fortune. Comedic antics arise throughout the movie as Lloyd’s character discovers how difficult life is in the big city. The comedy escalates as his fiancée, thinking her man is a financial tycoon, pays him a visit in the city.

“‘Safety Last’ is one of the best comedy films of our time,” Ohman said.

Ohman, an organ specialist and music instructor at BYU, has participated in more than 400 performances. He has written, performed and recorded 68 original scores for silent movies. He will accompany “Safety Last” on an organ provided by Summerhays Music.

Ohman performs the silent movie’s score live and involves the audience with fun surprises and sing-alongs.

“It’s not like going to the movies today,” he said. “It’ll be like an event in 1925.”
