BLOTTER: Police news from the campus and community

Jan. 24, 2003 A caller from the post office reported a cat between the screen and the main door. The door was locked.

An individual reported that he lost his wedding ring on the north side of the Spectrum.

Police received a report of someone shooting paintballs at Davis Hall. The paintballs hit the building and broke a window.

Jan. 25, 2003 Police responded to Richards Hall on a report of a resident who was sick in the hallway near the main office. It was discovered that the individual had been drinking and was trying to throw up the alcohol.

Jan. 26, 2003 A caller from Club Skyline reported problems with individuals at the club. They were concerned there would be problems when they closed and would like an officer in the area. An assault at Club Skyline was reported.

A caller reported that a male individual was taking pictures of his neighbor’s house. He asked the person what he was doing and the male refused to tell him.

Police assisted an individual in locating a vehicle that belonged to him parked in the Albertson’s parking lot.

A caller reported a toilet had been broken in the road. A caller stated that feces were left on her front porch.

Police received a report of a naked three-year-old child in the roadway.

Police responded to a 911 hang-up at the University Inn. The caller was trying to place a foreign call and dialed accidentally. Jan. 28, 2003 Police responded to the Business Building to deliver an emergency message to a student. The student was located and the message was delivered.

Jan. 29, 2003 A USU grounds employee reported that someone had broken a limb on a tree on the west side of the Taggart Student Center.

Jan. 30, 2003 An individual reported she believed someone followed her on foot from her vehicle to the Merrill Library earlier this morning. The subject’s description was given to police. The follower will be questioned if located in the future.

Police received a report of a small, black purse which was stolen from the backpack rack outside the USU Bookstore on Jan. 24.
