BLOTTER: Police news from the campus and community

Oct. 10 USU Campus Police responded to the information office to pick up a lost wallet. The wallet will be stored at the police department until it can be released to its owner.

Oct. 11 Campus police received a report of a lost wallet around the Taggart Student Center that is described as a dark green tri-fold.

An incident of lewdness was reported to campus police who responded to the crosswalk on 700 North by the Edith Bowen School. It was reported that two male individuals dressed in bath robes exposed themselves to passing vehicles. The investigation is continuing.

Campus police responded to the northeast corner of the C-3 parking lot on a report of a parking sign that had been pushed over.

Two individuals were issued misdemeanor citations for lewdness in the parking lot after they were observed urinating. Neither attends USU.

Oct. 12 A blue flag with a large letter “A” on it was taken from the football stadium during the Homecoming football game. The flag belongs to ASUSU, who has requested it be returned to them at their office on the third floor of the Taggart Student Center.

Oct. 14 Campus police responded to Valley View Tower on a report of some individuals sneaking through the bushes. Police made contact with the individuals who stated they were looking for cats.

Campus police received an unsecured premise report involving a door that was left opened in the basement of the Children’s House. Nothing was discovered to be missing from the house and no one was found inside. Police are investigating the incident.

An employee at the Skyroom Restaurant reported a theft of a framed poster advertising the Skyroom with a picture of a chef and two servers holding food on a platter. The poster was taken from the basement of the Taggart Student Center.

A student reported to campus police that she lost her mallet bag. The bag is black with a gray printed label which says “LP Percussion” in black letters. The bag contained five pairs of mallets.

Oct. 15 An individual reported receiving a harassing phone message. Campus police are investigating.

Campus police received a theft report of a poster in an aluminum frame, behind glass, newsprint style, black, white and red in color, approximately 12×14-14×18 in size, featuring a man with a beard and a red hat, which was taken from the third floor of the Merrill Library.

Campus police received a report of disorderly conduct that took place at the staff parking booth between a parking employee and a disgruntled student. Police are investigating.

Oct. 16 Campus police received a report of a stolen bike that is a black mountain bike with a “V” on the seat. Police are investigating.

Campus police are investigating the theft of a parking sign from the west Snow Hall parking lot.

A 20 mph speed limit sign was stolen from the area of the Stan Laub parking lot. Police are investigating.

Campus police took a report of a gray Motorola flip cell phone that was lost on Oct. 7 in the area of the Industrial Science Building

Campus police responded to a report of a man selling magazines in Aggie Village. Two suspects were detained and questioned. One of the suspects was arrested on a warrant out of California and was transported and booked into the Cache County Jail.
