Oct. 25, 2002

Police responded to a report of a fight that took place in an apartment in Aggie Village. An individual was arrested for domestic violence and assault.

Police observed alcoholic beverages inside an Aggie Village residence. The resident was asked to throw away all the alcohol and informed that the Housing Office will be notified.

Oct. 26, 2002

Three minors were arrested for possession of alcohol, having open containers, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. This occurred in the Taggart Student Center “B” parking lot during the Halloween Howl.

Police arrested a non-USU student for public intoxication at the Taggart Student Center during the Howl. The individual was booked into the Cache County Jail.

Oct. 27, 2002

While working, the Halloween Howl police responded to a fight in the Fieldhouse between two groups of individuals. Both parties reported the other had started the fight over comments made concerning a costume one of them was wearing.

Police investigated a suspicious smell in Mountain View Tower. A resident assistant reported a smell thought to be marijuana. The source of the smell could not be determined. The police did not believe the smell to be marijuana.

Oct. 28, 2002

A pigeon was reported to be loose in the Taggart Student Center. Police responded and assisted in capturing the bird.

Oct. 29, 2002

Police responded to the SER building on a complaint that there was a pig loose on the second floor. The animal had been shut inside the janitorial closet before police arrived. Logan City Animal Control also responded and transported the animal to the Skaggs Building where it belonged.

Oct. 30, 2002

Police responded to a report of individuals shooting a paintball gun from Mountain View Tower. A student living in Richards Hall reported being hit by a paint ball and that it came from the tower.

Police received report of a suspicious incident in the Eccles Jones Education Building. An individual reported a large quantity of bubbles in the east entrance of the building. When police arrived, Facilities personnel were on scene cleaning the area. No damage was reported to the building.
