Box Elder Bugs

USU has an infestation problem. Box elder bugs seem to attend my classes more often than enrolled students do. Each day on campus I have to fight off one or two of them from landing or crawling on me. When I returned home from my classes last week, I opened my backpack only to have a box elder bug crawl out onto my bed. Obviously, it hitched a ride while I was in one of the infested classrooms. This is when I became a warrior to assist in overthrowing these invaders. There are two solutions to remedy this problem. First, the windows and doors of the infested buildings need to be re-caulked. Second, USU’s current exterminator needs to be fired. A new competent exterminator should then be hired. Lastly, box elder bugs are not expensive to combat. A cheap home remedy is lethal when sprayed on them: 30% dish soap with 70% water, mixed in a simple spray bottle. I believe our university can afford this.Tim Bethers,#555-89-3678Phone # 713-6379
