Kids were finally allowed to eat candy off the floor Saturday at the Cache Valley Mall.
As part of the Easter Season this year, The Herald Journal newspaper and the Cache Valley Mall decided to team up in hopes of bringing members of the community together to participate in an Easter Egg hunt.
Hollie Baker, Marketing Director fo rthe Cache Valley mall said the Easter Egg Hunt was just something fun for the kids.
She said it also gave the community a chance to see the newly opened food court and to enjoy the mall. As part of the annual event, fun crafts, the easter egg hunt and even a small ride were brought in for the kids ot enjoy.
The Easter Egg Hunt was divided into four age groups, allowing kids of all ages an equal chance of receiving their fair share of eggs.
The age groups were 0-3, 3-5, 5-9, and 9 and up. Each child recieving at least three eggs and also individual candies palced throughout a roped off section of the food court.
Children were also able to receive one item of their choice painted on their face as part of the craft portion of the event.
Ray Checketts, owner of “the clown hopper ride” says he brings his rides to local fairs, community events and even company parties.
The Clown Hopper Ride is like a kid friendly version of the S&S Power Sports drop rides found at Lagoon and other amusement parks around the world. It’s also nice because it can fit in small spaces. Ray Checketts can be reached at (435) 764-7297.
