• Women’s Health forum, Nov. 14, 7 p.m. TSC 221 West Colony room, Linda Roberts will address an overview of women’s health including nutritional health, reproductive health, birth-contol, what to expect during physical exam and answers to questions from the audience.

• Institute Lunch for the Bunch, soup in a bowl, Nov. 16, 11:15 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Cultural center. Everyone invited free.

• Nutrition Education 4 Weight Success, “Believe Formula for Success, Nov. 16, 6 – 7 p.m. Field house conference room. Admission $2

• Thanksgiving food donations due by Nov. 17 to the social work office. Nov. 18, 2:30 p.m. come help organize food. Bring a Christmas ornament.

• SAA Etiquette Dinner catered by Hamiltons Restaurant, Nov. 16. This is a four course meal of do’s and don’ts of etiquette. Cost is $8 for members and $10 for nonmembers. If interested please call (435) 797-2055 to RSVP before Tues., Nov. 15.

• Guitars unplugged auditions November 16th and 17th Sign up in TSC 326

• Institute Friday night activity, “Decades Dance”, Logan Institute Nov. 18, 8 p.m. – 11 p.m.

• USU VIDA and Portuguese clubs are sponsoring a 3 on 3 indoor service soccer tournament November 19 at the USA Ultimate Sports Arena in Hyde Park. Check-in time is 8:30 a.m. Each team is guaranteed at least two games. Sign up in the TSC on November 16 or 17. Open to all-coed teams. Entry fees are $2 per person with the donation of a canned food item or $3 without a canned food item. Questions and concerns email usuvidaclub@yahoo.com or portuguese@cc.usu.edu.

• Institute Mens Association Turkey bowl, Nov. 18, 9:00 a.m. HPER field. Come play flag football, bring a can of food, enjoy a turkey dinner.

• Applications are available for membership in the USU chapter of PINNACLE, the national reentry honor society. Students should be 26 years of age or older, a junior or senior, have had a 5-year or more gap at some point in their education, have a minimum 3.0 overall USU GPA, be involved in campus and/or community activities. A one-time national membership fee of $20 is required. Contact the Reentry Student Center, TSC, Room 315, 797-1728. Deadline December 7, 2005.

• SOSNR (Student Organization for Society and Natural Resources), lazer precision and USU community Credit Union are sponsoring a fundraiser to help SOSNR members attend an international conference by recycling used printer and ink-jet cartridges. Please recycle used cartridges with us. Look for black recycling bins in your building.

• The Mitten Tree has been warming hands, feet, and hearts for over 16 years. The Mitten Tree is sponsored by the USU Women’s Center Advisory Board. Residents are encouraged to donate NEW mittens, hats, scarfs, and socks. These items will be donated to Bear River HEAD START program and Child and Family Support Center. Items may be donated between November 18 and December 8, 2005 at the following locations: Bridgerland Applied Technology College, Cache Valley Learning Center, Cache Valley Unitarian Universalists, Faith & Fellowship Center, First Presbyterian Church, Hyclone Laboratories Inc., Logan Golf & Country Club, Logan Library, North Logan City Library, Providence Elementary School, Senior Citizens Center, Shear Shack Hair & Nails, Smithfield City Public Library, St. John’s Episcopal Church, St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Society of Friends (Quaker), The Italian Place Restaurant, USU Child Development Lab, USU Children’s House, USU College of Natural Resources, USU Community Credit Union, USU TSC Carousel Square, and Valley Montessori School.
