*ASUSU and Student Academic Council Spelling Bee Oct. 30, 1 p.m., Register to participate in TSC 326 before, or in the lounge at noon that day. Prizes will be given to the winners!

* USU Faculty Forum Nov. 3, f 3:00 to 5:00, Eccles Conference Center Auditorium. The annual Forum is an open discussion for all USU faculty where issues of significant importance are addressed. All faculty are invited to attend. The topics to be discussed are: Department Head Terms, Health Care Benefits, and Mentoring and Procedures for Promotion and Tenure. Also, the Provost will present the latest on University budget health. Refreshments will be served.

* Mountain West Center is accepting applications for 2003 Garth & Marie Jones Scholarship. Scholarship for up to 18 credits for Spring Semester 2004. Available to USU graduate or undergraduate student with a high record of academic achievement majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences, including Economics. Expected graduation date must not be before June 2004. Rural Utah applicants given preference for selection.
