• The Logan Chapter of Utah Bolivia Partners Oct. 30, 4:30 p.m., TSC West Colony room. Vonda Jump PhD will show her slides on work and research with infants in an orphanage in Quito, Ecuador.

•New England Style Contra Dance, Nov. 2, 7:30 p.m., Whittier Community Center, 290 N. 400 East. Beginners are welcome and all dances are taught. Caller Michael Drews and Leaping Lulu. $5 donation.

•2002 Garth and Marie Jones Scholarship. Pays for up to 18 credits for Spring 03 semester. Available to graduate or undergrad student with record of high academic achievement majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences, including Economics. Rural Utah applicants given preference.
