* Go Trick or Treating for Cans for the Cache Valley Food Pantry. Come in Costume, Come Anytime, Stay as long as you like, and Help Serve The Community. Oct. 31, 12 – 7 p.m. Meet first floor TSC.

* Chi Omega Halloween Carnival. Oct. 31, 4 – 6 p.m., Nelson Fieldhouse. Families invited to attend a safe, fun and warm carnival on Halloween day. Utah State clubs organize booths with treats and entertainment for children. Admission: Donation of one can of food per person or four cans per family. Food donations to the Cache Valley Food Pantry.

* Utah State is submitting an application to Phi Beta Kappa (PBK), thenation’s oldest and most prestigious honor society. It is a three-yearprocess; if the committee on qualifications approves this initialapplication, then a site visit will occur in fall, 2004.

* The Cache Valley Folk Dancers and the Bridger Folk Music Society New England Style Contra Dance Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m., Whittier Community Center, 290 N. 400 E. Callers will teach each dance and beginners and families are welcome. Live music by Leaping Lulu (and friends). $5 donation at the door.

* Mountain West Center is accepting applications for 2003 Garth & Marie Jones Scholarship. Scholarship for up to 18 credits for Spring Semester 2004.
