•The new Quadside Gallery will be having its first reception Monday, April 3, 7-9 p.m., Merrill-Cazier Library’s Cafe. There will be live music and light refreshments.

•The Utah State University Women’s Center Advisory Board will honor four Cache Valley women at its “Women Over 65 Achievement Award” Ceremony Tuesday, April 4, 20065, 7 p.m., at the TSC Stevenson Ballroom. For more information, call 797-1728.

•Workers of the World Movie Series, “The Hidden Face of Globalizations: What corporations don’t want us to know.” Old Main 121, April 4, 7 p.m. Free admission and snacks.

•USU Interior Design department presents the 2006 Senior Exhibit. April 10 – 21, Twain Tippetts Gallery in the Chase Fine Arts Center. Free to the public Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

•USU Ballroom team Spring Show 2006, April 7-8, 7 p.m. at the Elite Hall 83 West Main Street, Hyrum. Tickets Cost $5, or $3 with student ID.

•Apple a day 5k fun and health fair. April 8, 10 a.m. Starting on the Quad. $5 registration fee, all proceeds go to Operation Smile.

•The Hunger Banquet on Wednesday April 5, 7 p.m., $5. in the Walnut Room. Fun, entertainment and a light dinner provided. Come and learn about poverty inequalities in the world today.

•CAPSA and Borders Books & Music are hosting a Poetry Slam in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. April 6, 6 – 8 p.m. Pre-register at Borders or by calling 787-0678. Local poetry experts will judge the event and prizes will be awarded to the top three entries. Call 787-0678 for more details.

•Mountain Crest High School Drama Department presents an old-fashioned melodrama “The Valiant Villain”, 7 p.m. Friday, April 7 MCHS auditorium.  Come boo the villain and cheer the hero.  This production is a fund-raising project.

•Service project cleaning up Hardware Ranch counts for Dedicated Hunter Program service hours. Meet Saturday April 8th @ 10 a.m. at the University Inn parking lot.

•The Alliance for the Varied Arts Gallery presents the “2006 High School Art Show,” opening Friday, April 7 from 6- 9 p.m. High school students from Logan, Mountain Crest and Sky View, will show the best examples of their artwork.
