• The Ecology Center welcomes, Dr. Steve Zack, Pacific West Coordinator from the Wildlife Conservation Society in Portland Oregon. He will give two lectures, both held in the Natural Resources Bldg. 105. “Arctic Alaska, Energy and Climate: Wildlife Conservation Challenges in a Moving Target” Wednesday, January 17, 6 p.m. And “Fighting Fire with Fire: Restoring Eastside Ponderosa Pine and Wildlife” January 18, 3 p.m., All are welcome to attend. • Come and get a taste of the Orient and culture at the 3rd Annual TipToe into Asia Banquet. Friday, January 19, 6:30 p.m., TSC Ballroom. The cost will be $8 with an authentic Asian dinner and a show at 7 p.m. The show will feature a traditional dragon dance, cultural performers, a fashion show, plus more.

• Utah State University Women’s Center Advisory Board is seeking nominations for the “Women over 65 Achievement Awards.” Guidelines are available at the USU Women’s Center, Taggart Student Center, Room 315, or call 797-1728. We encourage faculty, staff, or students to nominate a woman over 65 for this honor.

• The Alliance for the Varied Arts presents “Genetic Holocaust” an installational exhibition prepared by Israeli artist Liat Ben-Shay. Opening reception will be held Friday January 12, 7-9 p.m. Thatcher-Young Mansion, 35 W 100 S, Logan. The exhibit will continue through January 27. There is no charge and the public is encouraged to attend.
