• Wednesday, November 15. English International Conversation socials 5:30-6:30, RBW 214. Everyone invited.
• Movie night, November 15, 6 p.m. Oakmeadows lounge, 1600 North 351 West, behind Al’s. We’ll be watching “Breaking Away.” Bring a friend and some treats.
• Are you a smoker and wish you could quit? Drop by for a visit with Student Wellness Center personnel and learn about resources available to help you quit. November 15, 10 a.m. – 2 p .m. TSC Patio.
• The Music Therapy Student Association is putting on a benefit concert at the Logan Firehouse, Wednesday, November 15, 7-9 p.m. Admission is $3 per person. All proceeds will go to individuals throughout Utah who need music therapy services but cannot afford them.
• DESA activities, Thanksgiving dinner November 15, 6:30 p.m. Housing & Dining services building. 1125 North 1000 East, room 109. Christmas Activity December 5, 7 p.m. (same location as Thanksgiving dinner.) Bring a silly white-elephant gift. • Fund raiser night at “Citrus & Sage” (130 North 100 East). Indian food, henna and Indian culture clothes on sale. Friday and Saturday, November 17-18, 7-10 p.m.
• Beaver Mountain Ski Patrol Ski Swap. November 16, 7-9 p.m. November 17, 9-10 p.m. and November 18, 9-10 p.m. Ski swap will be held at the USU Stan Laub Center, 1400 N. 1000 E. For more information contact Troy Oldham at (435) 764-2979or Kirk Wilcok (435)757-0328.
• Student and community members can donate new mittens, hats, scarves and socks for the 17th annual Mitten Tree. Items will be donated to the Bear River Head Start program and Child and FAmily Support Center. Items accepted November 13 – December 6, Women’s Center TSC 315 and the Marketplace. • Friday Night Activity November 17. Susan Brown Concert. Institute Cultural Hall, 8 – 10 p.m. Susan Brown (fiddler for Trisha Yearwood) from Nashville and Cam Lee, local performer, to open the concert. Bring a can of food to donate. Free admission, doors open at 7:30 p.m.
• IWA Fall Fireside, Wednesday, November 15. Logan Tabernacle, 7 p.m. IWA sponsored fireside-“One by one”. Shayne Larsen, a popular motivational speaker and seminary teacher at the Smithfield seminary. Everyone invited.
• Live music calendar for Caffe Ibis Gallery Deli for the month of November. All performances are from 7-9 p.m. unless otherwise stated. Friday, November 17, Darrin Johnson. Saturday, November 18, Todd and Friends. Friday, November 24, Phil Leffler. Saturday, November 25, Overland.
• Special Needs Dance Friday November 17. The Dance is at 7:30 and goes until 11:00. There will be dancing and refreshments. We just need to be there to dance with all of the people. Special Needs Dance, Stake Center Behind Sam’s Club.
