Stuff-A-Bus to help families in need

The Utah State University Aggie Shuttle, the Logan Transit District, the Cache Valley Transit District and 94.5 VFX Radio are pleased to sponsor the third annual “Stuff-A-Bus” for the Cache Valley Sub for Santa program.

Normally, individuals are not asked to pay a fee when they board any of the Aggie Shuttle, LTD or CVTD buses. However, from Dec. 1 to 12, donation cans will be placed on each of the buses to encourage contributions.

Also during that time, individuals may take toys or clothes that are new or in good condition, money or canned food to any shuttle driver operating an Aggie Shuttle, LTD or CVTD route. Donations may also be dropped off at the USU Parking Office (840 E. 1250 North), the USU Visitor Information Center by the Parking Terrace or the LTD/CVTD Transit Center (150 E. 500 North).

The main sponsor of the program, 94.5 VFX, will be broadcasting live from the various locations throughout the Cache Valley area to promote the program. For more information, contact Alden Erickson at 797-3470 or alden.erickson@usu.edu.

Students to write letters for soldiers

Kappa Delta and the students from the MHR 3110, Managing People and Organizations class, at Utah State University are sponsoring an activity Monday where students can write letters to soldiers stationed around the world.

The groups raised $265 last week during their “Penny Wars” activity. The money will be used to pay for postage on the letters.

Letters can be penned by students from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Sunburst Lounge of the Taggart Student Center.

Included in the letters will be beef jerky, licorice and hot chocolate donated by Lee’s Marketplace.

Students and faculty are encouraged to stop by and write a letter to those defending freedoms worldwide.
