Applications for USU delegation needed

The Utah Intercollegiate Assembly is now taking applications for Utah State University’s delegation.

The Utah Intercollegiate Assembly (UIA) is a division of the Utah Student Association and specifically addresses and creates legislature that affects all nine of the major state-funded colleges and universities in the state. It is a mock congress that is set up to resemble Utah’s legislative system, and holds a session in the Capitol’s house and senate chambers.

Legislation that comes from UIA has the potential to be given to the Utah Legislature, and in the past, issues have actually become state law. Many of the issues that make it through UIA are presented to the Utah Board of Regents to be addressed.

Anybody who would like to apply, pick up an application in the TSC, Room 326 and return it by Sept. 26.
