• Fiesta! Sweetheart Salsa on Friday, February 16 at the Celebration Center. Dinner 7 p.m., dancing 8 p.m. Dancing only $5, dinner and dancing $15. Salsa Dancing performance by the USU Salsa Club. Proceeds benefit humanitarian efforts in Mexico.
• The USU Outdoor Recreation Center is hosting an open house February 21, 4-8 p.m. at the Green Canyon yurt. Bring your skis or snowshoes, and make your way up to the yurt for free hot cocoa and coffee. A raffle for a free 2008 weekend stay will be held; $1 raffle tickets available only at the ORC, February 12-21. Call 797-3264 for more info.

• The Ecology Center is pleased to announce the visit of Dr. Lawrence Walker from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He will be giving two seminars.The first seminar, “Ecological Time Travel: Progressive and Retrogressive Succession and its Manipulation” Wednesday, February 21, 6- 7 p.m.. The second seminar, “Landslides: Landscapes, Succession and Restoration” Thursday, February 22, 3 -4 p.m.. Both seminars will be held Natural Resources building room 105. Eccles Ice Center in North Logan will be hosting its 4th annual Spice on Ice: Best of Cache Valley dinner and benefit auction on Thursday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 5.
