• Paper Airplane toss at Romney Stadium, Friday, March 2, 4 pm. Each plane will cost $1.00. (they will be available at a table we’ll set up in TSC first floor February 27 – March 1). There will be very substantial prizes for the winners: including cash and gift certificates.
• Full moon snowshoeing, Swan Flats. Saturday, March 3, 7 p.m. meet at the ORC. Sign-up at the ORC by March 2. Snowshoes will be available to rent for $4 or bring your own. We’ll meet at the ORC, then carpool to Swan Flats. Questions, call 797-3264 or email orc@cc.usu.edu
• Engineers Without Borders – USU Uganda team. EWB helps build developing communities around the world. All those interested in helping continue this project there is a meeting Wednesday, March 7, 5 p.m. Engineering 106. All are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served. • USU Ecology Center hosts aquatic ecologist Dr. Emily Bernhardt, a lead scientist with Duke University. During her visit, Dr. Bernhardt will be giving two seminars. “Restoring Rivers One Reach at a Time – the challenge of restoring reaches to manage catchments” Wednesday, March 7, 6-7 p.m. The second seminar, “Propagation and Dissipation of Upstream Signals through River Networks” Thursday, March 8, 3-4 p.m. Natural Resources (NR) building room 105. • Aggie Blue Bikes is a free bike library. We’re sandwiched between the Fieldhouse and Military Science Building. Come check out a bike (for up to a semester) just like you would check out a library book.

• The Utah State University Women’s Center/Reentry Student Center is now offering for 2007-08 Reentry Scholarships and some specific named scholarships for men and women who have had a 3- 5year gap in their education. • Nordic United is sponsoring the third cross-country ski race in theBridgerland Citizens Race Series this Saturday, March 10, SinkHollow groomed ski trails near Beaver Mountain. There will be 1k, 5k, and 15k categories. Registration is at noon, and is $5 for NU members, $8 for non-members. Call Alex at 760-4286 for more info.
• Handel’s “Messiah”: A multicultural benefit concert presented in English, American Sign Language, and Spanish. March 23- 24, Ellen Eccles Theater, Logan and March 30, Peery’s Egyptian Theater, Ogden. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. Proceeds support USU student humanitarian healthcare mission to Mexico.
• Go Alpine skiing with Common Ground Outdoor Adventures on BeaverMountain with our new adaptive equipment any day of the week. • The George S. Eccles Ice Center in North Logan will be hosting its 4th annual Spice on Ice: Best of Cache Valley dinner and benefit auction on Thursday, March 29 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale Monday, March 5. • Parent-tot nature hour. Friday, March 2 or 16, 10 – 11 a.m. Hike on up to Stokes Nature Center for parent & tot nature hour, The program will explore the wonders of the natural world. Activities include songs, crafts and discoveries made along the River Trail. Costs are $3 ($2.50 for SNC members). Parents must accompany child. Tales & Trails Saturday, March 10, 10 a.m. – noon. We will read about, play games and make crafts dealing with animal adaptations and predator avoidance. Costs are $6 ($4.50 for SNC members).
