Native Americans celebrate week The Native American Student Council is having their annual Native American Week culminated by the Pow-Wow on Friday and Saturday. There will be a Native American display in front of Taggart Student Center Auditorium including artist Bird Osborne on Friday. A Native Taco Sell will be Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the TSC Patio The Miss Native American Pageant will be Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the TSC Auditorium

Skating lessons available at center Registration for ice skating lessons at the George S. Eccles Ice Center in North Logan is now taking place. Those interested can sign up at the Ice Center at 2825 N. 200 East North Logan or call 752-1170 for recorded information.

USU Business Seminar to be held Utah State University’s 19th Annual Human Resources Seminar will be held Wednesday and Thursday in the Eccles Conference Center. Registration for the conference begins at 7:30 a.m. with presentations beginning daily at 8:30 a.m. The seminar, sponsored by the Partners in Business program and administered by the College of Business will feature renowned human research professionals and business leaders from across the country to provide an in-depth look at the most recent changes in human resource management including new legislation, staffing, technology and benefits. Seminar presentations will also explore subjects such as employee empowerment, leadership development, retirement plants, The Fair Labor Standards Act, surviving company restructuring, improving performance in the work place and more.

Weekend library hours extended The Merrill Library and Science and Technology Library hours have been extended. The Academic Council has been working with the libraries and now both will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday and will open at 9 a.m. on Saturdays.

Eating disorders addressed at USU Speakers will address eating disorders Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center, Room 335. The meeting will discuss the importance of self-esteem and help students understand eating disorders and give ways to help friends or roommates who may be suffering from an eating disorder.
