The two sides of Charlie Puth: tween idol and hard-core music nerd

Charlie Puth concert, End of Year Bash cancelled

The USUSA Student Events Office announced the cancellation of the End of Year Bash on Tuesday, after headlining artist Charlie Puth pulled out due to illness.

The concert was schedule for Saturday at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

Puth issued a public apology as part of a press release sent out by the Utah State University Student Association.

“I’m extremely upset to have had to cancel all of our shows this week. Unfortunately, I’ve been sick for the last week and am unable to sing, let along speak, without vocal pain,” Puth said. “When I went to Berkley, I always looked forward to seeing live music come through our campus and I was very much looking forward (to) playing and meeting all of you and I hope to make it up to everyone very soon.”

According to the press release, the Student Events office is working with Puth to reschedule at a later date.

The Statesman will provide updates as they become available.

I was so bummed when I found this out!!! My parents got me tickets to go to this concert, and it would have been on my birthday, but he’s sick!! I wish my parents never told me about the concert/tickets!!!
