COLUMN: Candidates need to file … now
As a student of Utah State University, you can make a difference among the issues and concerns faced. Believe it or not, you are a member of the Associated Students of Utah State University and have a voice on campus. As a student, you can help change these concerns and issues by running for ASUSU Executive Council.
It is with a strong desire that I encourage you to run for an ASUSU office. You will never get another opportunity such as this and by not doing it, you may never know if you could have become the next member of ASUSU Executive Council. The filing deadline is at 3 p.m. Wednesday (March 9) in TSC 326. We need students like you that are interested in making this university more student friendly and academically fit.
By running for office you would not only be setting yourself aside from all other students here at USU, but you would become the contact between the students and serve as a representative for your constituents.
“Make it Happen” and run for office to help better the university by taking an active role in the issues that are most important to you and the student body.
Emily Bott is the public relations vice president for ASUSU. Comments can be sent to ASUSUPR@cc.usu.edu.
