Final offerings from Old Lyric

The Old Lyric Repertory Company’s 2006 season is almost over, and the company reminds patrons the final two weeks should be full of laughs, music and British accents.

Gentri Lawrence, public relations associate for the OLRC, said the season has been an exciting ride so far, and patrons have experienced a great deal of theatrical fun. “The performers are now at the pinnacle of their portrayals, and the company has had time to streamline productions, which makes it the perfect time to see the plays,” she said.

Colin Johnson, OLRC artistic producer, agrees.

“Everyone has had six weeks to rehearse and perform, getting into the characters, revealing true intricacies of the person he or she is playing,” he said. “The final two weeks often include the best performances of the season. Great seats are still available.”

The final two-week schedule is: “Noises Off” by Michael Frayn, Friday, July 28, and Friday, Aug. 4; “Route 66” by Roger Bean, Thursday, July 27, and Wednesday, Aug. 2; “Postmortem” by Ken Ludwig, Saturday, July 29, and Thursday, Aug. 3; and “Relative Values” by Noel Coward, Wednesday, July 26, Saturday, July 29, and Saturday, Aug. 5.

Ticket information and reservations for OLRC productions are available by calling (435) 752-1500. Patrons may also visit the Caine Lyric Theatre box office at 28 West Center St. in Logan. The box office is open Monday through Saturday noon to 8 p.m.

The OLRC is supported by grants and gifts from the Marie Eccles Caine Foundation, the George S. and Delores Doré Eccles Foundation, the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Utah State University, the Cache County Restaurant/RAPZ Tax, the Utah Arts Council and the Bridgerland Travel Council.
