Food services testing additional sites

Utah State University Housing and Food Services is testing the campus market to see if students want more food services sites.

The trailer located between the Merrill Library and the Business Building was offered free from a vendor to test the need for its services, said Alan Andersen, assistant director of USU Housing and Food Services.

The University Policies Physical Resource Planning Committee approved the test, which will last one month, Andersen said. UPPRPC also approved another site on campus near the engineering buildings.

Andersen said if the test is successful, Food Services will purchase a trailer that is “less commercial” and more fitting on campus environmentally.

The trailer is currently cash-only, but will eventually accept the Aggie Express account if implemented long term.

“We haven’t had a lot of feedback,” Andersen said, but added that he hopes students will speak up.
