Girl’s basketball tops Lady Techsters in OT

The Utah State women’s basketball team is back at .500 after winning their season-high fourth game in a row. The Aggies were in action Saturday night when they took Louisiana Tech on the road, winning 76-75 in overtime.

Senior Jenna Johnson hit the game winner with five seconds remaining in overtime with the Aggies down one. Johnson finished with 15 points to go along with seven rebounds. Sophomore Franny Vaaulu was the leading scorer for USU with 20 points and eight rebounds.

The Aggies are now 10-10 on the season and and 7-2 in the WAC.

USU’s next game will be back at home when the University of Idaho visits the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Jan. 31. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
