Gymnasts fall to Boise State

“It was close,” said the Aggies Head Coach Ray Corn. “It’s not a matter of winning or loosing we have to score. We certainly had it tonight..”
For the Aggies, who are ranked at number 32, it’s the second time loosing to Boise, ranked 37.
Utah State started their night on the vault where freshman Nicki Felly recored a career high of 9.725. Top scorers also included Meagan Lewis and Jessica Parenti. They both scored 9.75.
Veterans Lewis and Parenti also carried on their success to the uneven bars. Parenti scored a 9.825 and Lewis got a solid 9.800. Utah State as a whole recored a 48.475 on the bars.
They then moved to the beam. The balance beam score was the only one to top Boise with a 48.575. Parenti helped out with a 9.825 and Megan Tschida scored a 9.75.
“We need to keep the inprovements that we made on bars and vault,” said Lewis about the overall Aggie performance. “Just be a little more confident.”
Parenti was also a top scorer on the floor with a score of 9.85.
The Aggies ended the meet at 193.900.
