Halftime update: Aggies 21, Wolf Pack 14

USU wide receiver Kevin Robinson took a punt back 70 yards to give Utah State a 21-14 lead with 2:13 to go in the half. That is how it stands at the intermission.

The Nevada Wolf Pack took a 14-0 lead by the six-minute mark of the first quarter, but have been fruitless since.

Aggie running back Derrvin Speight punched in a 12-yard touchdown with just over three minutes left in the half. That came as the finishing touch to a 10-play, 65-yard Aggie drive.

Despite an interception and a lost fumble, Utah State quarterback Leon Jackson III rushed for a one-yard touchdown for his team’s first score with just under a minute remaining in the opening quarter.

Robinson’s punt return for a touchdown was his third kick return of the season for a touchdown, and his first on a punt.

The Wolf Pack scored on their opening two drives-one a 31-yard pass to a wide-open wide receiver Marko Mitchell, the other a seven-yard rush by running back Luke Lippincott.
