Katie and Shawn

Katie Elizabeth Holmes and Shawn Conrad Seamons will be married Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, in the Bountiful LDS Temple. The couple will celebrate the evening prior at a reception in Bountiful and on Dec. 14 at the Seamons’ residence in Logan.

Katie is the daughter of Eric and Heidi Holmes of Bountiful. She grew up in Logan and Bountiful, graduating from Woods Cross High School in 2004. Katie participated in debate in high school and at Utah State University, where she is now a student. She is majoring in public relations. The bride has spent her past three summers as a nanny in Washington, D.C., or working in Tennessee and Washington state.

Shawn is the son of Russell and Gail Seamons of Logan. He attended Logan schools and graduated from Logan High School in 2001. He participated in several extra-curriculum activities as a teen. Shawn served in the Catania Italy LDS Mission from 2001-2003. The groom is a mathematics major at USU, where he also participates on the cheer squad. Shawn owns Shawn Seamons Painting Company.

The bride and groom met about a year ago through USU’s student government activities. Shawn joined Katie working for Eclipse Marketing in the Seattle area last summer, where they became engaged.
