The Utah State University lacrosse team finished a successful fall season with a 4-2 record.

The Aggies played an experienced UVSC team in a hard-hitting, physical game, but ended up going home with a 14-9 loss.

Paul Larkin and Tyler Berkey scored three goals apiece for the Aggies.

UVSC, which has won the B Division Championship the past two years, moved up in competition to the A Division this year. Nevertheless, Utah State was up to the challenge.

Coach Jeremy Miller was happy with the team’s performance.

“We were expecting a real tight game. We never gave up, but they [UVSC] came back and won it in the end,” he said.

Though the Aggies lost their last game of the season against Utah Valley State College Saturday, the team feels confident and excited about their chances in the spring season, Miller said.

The team celebrated its first victory over the University of Utah this season, and played well against tough B Division competition, Miller said.

The Utah State lacrosse team begins its spring season the last week of February against Boise State University.

The team is excited and confident for the upcoming season.

“We are looking forward to be a great team in the spring season. We are definitely in contention to win the B Division Championship,” Miller said.
